Please Read our Schuco Warranty

THIS WARRANTY IS PROVIDED BY SCHÜCO USA, L.P. (“SCHÜCO”) TO THE ORIGINAL CONSUMER PURCHASER (“OWNER”).

TEN YEAR PRODUCT INTEGRITY AND PERFORMANCE WARRANTY – SOLAR THERMAL COLLECTORS
Schüco warrants to the Owner that all Schüco-manufactured solar thermal collectors (installed for use as heat collectors to provide energy for use in medium temperature range applications (110 to 210 degrees Fahrenheit)) in Schüco’s solar thermal systems will be structurally sound and free of manufacturing, material or workmanship defects for ten (10) years from the date of purchase from a Schüco-authorized dealer. Schüco also warrants that all Schüco-manufactured solar collectors will be within Schüco’s stated tolerances and standards for performance at time of sale to Owner. Schüco further warrants such solar collectors will perform and produce heat for a period of ten (10) years from the date of purchase from a Schüco-authorized dealer.

TEN YEAR PRODUCT INTEGRITY WARRANTY - MOUNTING SYSTEMS
Schüco warrants to the Owner that all Schüco-manufactured mounting system components in Schüco’s solar thermal and photovoltaic systems will be structurally sound and free of manufacturing, material or workmanship defects for five (5) years from the date of purchase from a Schüco-authorized dealer. Said mounting system warranty coverage shall be extended to ten (10) years from the date of purchase where Owner purchases the aforementioned mounting components as part of a complete solar thermal or PV package consisting of Schüco-manufactured

  • solar thermal collectors
  • tanks
  • thermal BOS (Balance of System)
  • mounting components (rails, collector interconnectors, roof-anchors, clips, clamps)
or
  • PV Modules
  • SMA, KACO and Schüco inverter
  • mounting components (rails, module interconnectors, roof-anchors, clips, clamps)

FIVE YEAR PRODUCT INTEGRITY WARRANTY - NON-ELECTRIC COMPONENTS
Schüco warrants that all non-electrical components (such as, for example, tanks, collectors, hydraulics, cables, connectors etc.) in Schüco’s solar thermal and photovoltaic systems will be structurally sound and free of manufacturing, material or workmanship defects for five (5) years from the date of purchase from a Schüco-authorized dealer.

TWO YEAR PRODUCT INTEGRITY WARRANTY - ELECTRIC COMPONENTS
Schüco warrants to the Owner that all electrical components (such as, for example, pumps, controllers, etc.) in Schüco’s solar thermal and photovoltaic systems will be structurally sound and free of manufacturing, material or workmanship defects for two (2) years from the date of purchase from a Schüco-authorized dealer excluding PV Modules. For PV Modules please see the separate Schüco Photovoltaic Module Limited Warranty.

How To Obtain Warranty Service
If a valid claim exists under one or more of the warranties, Schüco or its authorized representatives will repair, re-install, replace, or refund the purchase price of the failing Schüco product or part, at Schüco’s option. In regard to valid claims of collector performance, Schüco may choose to fix the output performance to reach said limits, or replace or remedy the situation in another commercially reasonable manner. If Schüco determines to replace any or all part or product, and if such part or product as originally installed is no longer available, Schüco shall substitute parts or products designated by Schüco to be of equal quality. Replacement of a part or product does not renew the warranty period. Minor color variations may exist between replacement product and the originally installed product and are not indicative of a defective product. This warranty includes labor expenses for removal and reinstallation up to a total of one hundred and fifty dollars ($150.00) per system. To submit a claim, contact the Schüco-authorized dealer from whom the Owner purchased the product in question. A copy of this warranty and a copy of the original invoice may be required. Claims must be submitted promptly after discovery of the claimed defect and within the applicable warranty period.

What Voids These Warranties
Installation, removal, painting, repair, adjustment, tampering or re-installation of any Schüco products or components by other than a Schüco-authorized dealer voids any and all warranties, and Schüco expressly disclaims any liability for any costs, defects, or damages with respect to such actions. Moreover, Schüco shall have no obligation whatsoever to honor warranty claims of any nature for products sold outside the United States of America, and Schüco expressly disclaims any liability for costs, defects or damages with respect to such use.

What Is Not Covered
These warranties are granted by Schüco to the Owner only. The warranties only cover materials manufactured or assembled by Schüco and installed by a Schüco-authorized dealer. All warranties assume normal and reasonable use of Schüco products or components. These warranties do not cover damage caused by occurrences beyond the control of Schüco, such as defective, negligent or faulty installation, incorrect product configuration, building or zoning code violations, settlement of the building, failure of the structure (including foundations and walls), use of incompatible accessories, removal, repair, or re-installation of any Schüco products or components by other than a Schüco-authorized dealer, normal weathering and wear and tear, glass breakage, corrosive effects of salt air and chemical pollutants, normal fading, deterioration of non-Schüco approved caulking compounds, fire, flood, lightning, high winds, windblown objects, earthquake, hurricanes, ice dams, icicles and/or ice storms, atmospheric conditions or weather of catastrophic nature as defined by the US Weather Bureau, other acts of God, intentional acts, unreasonable use, vandalism or pollution. These warranties also will not apply to damages resulting from the failure to provide reasonable maintenance, including failure to clean the product, maintain sealing, painting and/or caulking as reasonably necessary, or clear off gutters or roofs as and when necessary. These warranties do not cover any damage or material failure or misalignment caused by objects dropped, thrown or placed against the products or due to combining any Schüco products with materials, components, gaskets, seals or operating hardware not approved for such use by Schüco. No warranties are valid unless and until the Owner has made full payment under the original sales agreement and all addenda thereto.

Remedies and Rights
These warranties of Schüco products and services are the only expressed warranties provided by Schüco. No employee, representative, agent, nor any other person, has authority to assume or incur on behalf of Schüco any obligation, liability, or responsibility in place of or in addition to these warranties. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE DURATION OF ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE BE LONGER THAN THE DURATION OF OWNERSHIP AND OCCUPATION, BY THE ORIGINAL OWNER OF THE HOME ON WHICH SCHÜCO PRODUCT IS INSTALLED. EXCEPT FOR THE WARRANTY PROVIDED HEREIN SCHÜCO MAKES NO WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY WARRANTY OF NONINFRINGEMENT, MERCHANTABILITY, OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. SCHÜCO’S LIABILITY TO OWNER (OR ANY SECONDARY HOMEOWNER) UNDER THIS DOCUMENT IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNTS RECEIVED BY SCHÜCO FOR SERVICES RENDERED UNDER THE SALES AGREEMENT OR PURCHASE ORDER WITH THE OWNER. SOME STATES DO NOT PERMIT ANY LIMITATION ON THE LENGTH OF AN IMPLIED WARRANTY, AND THEREFORE THE IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING SENTENCE MAY NOT APPLY. IN NO EVENT SHALL SCHÜCO BE OBLIGATED OR LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY KIND FOR THE BREACH OF ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SCHÜCO PRODUCT OR SERVICES. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, AND THEREFORE SOME OR ALL OF THE IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING SENTENCE MAY NOT APPLY. THESE WARRANTIES PROVIDE SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS, AND YOU MAY HAVE OTHER RIGHTS WHICH VARY FROM STATE TO STATE.

BOSCH Gas Tankless Water Heater Warranty Information

General
BOSCH gas tankless water heaters are warranted by the Manufacturer (BOSCH) through Bosch Thermotechnology Corp. Bosch Thermotechnology Corp. will furnish a replacement heat exchanger and will furnish a replacement of any other part which fails in normal use and service within the applicable periods specified below, in accordance with the terms of this warranty. The Bosch Thermotechnology Corp. replacement will be warranted for the unexpired portion of the original warranty. This warranty will be valid only for water heaters in possession of the original purchaser as recorded on the warranty card.

The Heat Exchanger
If the heat exchanger fails within Fifteen (15) years after the original installation and operation, Bosch Thermotechnology Corp. will furnish a replacement heat exchanger. However, if the water heater is used within an approved hot water recirculation and supplied with circulated water, this heat exchanger warranty is limited to three (3) years from date of original installation and operation. If the water heater is installed in other than a single family dwelling, this heat exchanger warranty is limited to two (2) years from date of original installation and operation.

Exceptions
This warranty will not apply:

  • to defects or malfunctions resulting from failure to properly install, operate or maintain the unit in accordance with the printed instructions provided;
  • to damage or abuse, accident, neglect or freezing and other acts of nature;
  • to damage resulting from operation with either the flame sensor rod or overheat sensor removed;
  • to failure of the heat exchanger resulting from the operation of the water heater in a corrosive atmosphere or at water temperatures exceeding the maximum rating, or if the water heater is not supplied with potable water;
  • to defects or damage cause by any attachment or modification, including any energy-saving device;
  • to damage resulting from scale deposits and/or highly mineralized / unsoftened water supply.

All Other Parts
If any other part fails within five (5) years after original installation and operation, Bosch Thermotechnology Corp. will furnish a replacement part free of charge.

Service Labor Costs
This warranty does not cover any labor costs associated with service, removal or re-installation of part(s). All such costs must be borne by the purchaser.

Additionally, this warranty does not cover any labor costs associated with service, removal, installation or re-installation of the original water heater or a replaced water heater.

How to Make a Claim
Any claim for warranty parts should be made to your local dealer or distributor:

In most cases, the dealer or distributor will be able to promptly honor your claim and subsequently notify Bosch Thermotechnology Corp.. However, all replacements are made subject to validation by Bosch Thermotechnology Corp. of in-warranty coverage. The damaged or defective item must be made available in exchange for the replacement.

Miscellaneous
No one is authorized to make any other warranties on behalf of Bosch Thermotechnology Corp.. It is expressly understood that the replacement warranty of Bosch Thermotechnology Corp. shall be in lieu of any and all other warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular use or purpose, and further that Bosch Thermotechnology Corp. shall not be liable for any loss or damage directly or indirectly arising from the use of the hot water heater, or for any consequential damages arising from such use (including damages from water leakage). Bosch Thermotechnology Corp. sole liability with respect to any defect shall be for the replacement of the defective part(s). Some states do not allow such limitations and exclusions, so the above may not apply to you.

This warranty gives specific legal rights. You may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

LIMITED 10 YEAR WARRANTY COVERAGE BOSCH THERMOTECHNOLOGY CORP. FOR POWERSTREAM PRO RP17PT and RP27PT.

LIMITED 5 YEAR WARRANTY COVERAGE BOSCH THERMOTECHNOLOGY CORP. FOR POWERSTREAM PRO RP POINT-OF-USE SERIES guarantees this water heater to the original owner of the water heater at the original installation location against defects in material and workmanship for the periods specified below.

WARRANTY PERIOD
1. For RP17PT and RP27PT - The Heating Modules – If the original heating modules leak or fail within ten (10) years from the date of original installation of the water heater because of a defect in material or workmanship, Bosch Thermotechnology Corp. will furnish to such an owner a replacement heater of the then - prevailing comparable model. However, if the water heater is installed in other than a single family dwelling this heating modules warranty is limited to two (2) years from the date of original installation and operation. Note : Damage caused by exposure to freezing conditions is not covered by the warranty. Note : Damage caused by scale formation is not covered by the warranty. For the RP Point-of-Use Series - The HEat Exchanger/Element - if the original heat exchanger leaks or the heating element fails within five (5) years from the date of original installation of the water heater, buecause of a defect in material or workmanship, Bosch Thermotechnology will furnish such Owner a replacement heater of the then prevailing comparible model.

2. Any Component Part Other Than the Heating Modules – If any other component part (other than the heating modules) proves to be defective in material or workmanship within one (1) year from the date of original installation of the water heater, Bosch Thermotechnology Corp. will furnish the owner with a replacement of the defective part(s).

3. Verification of Date of Original Installation – When owner cannot verify or document the original date of installation, the warranty period begins on the date of manufacture marked on the tag affixed to the water heater.

EXCLUSIONS
1. THIS LIMITED WARRANTY SHALL BE THE EXCLUSIVE WARRANTY MADE BY THE MANUFACTURER AND IS MADE IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED (WHETHER WRITTEN OR ORAL), INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

2. Manufacturer shall not be liable for incidental, consequential, special or contingent damages or expenses arising, directly or indirectly, from any defect in the water heater or the use of the water heater.

3. Manufacturer shall not be liable for any water damage arising, directly or indirectly, from any defect in the water heater component part(s) or from its use.

4. Manufacturer shall not be liable under this warranty if: a) The water heater or any of its component parts has been subject to misuse, alteration, neglect or accident, or; b) The water heater has not been installed in accordance with the applicable local plumbing and/or building code(s) and/or regulation(s), or; c) The water heater has not been installed in accordance with the printed manufacturer’s instructions, or; d) The water heater is not continuously supplied with potable water.

5. The owner and not the manufacturer or his representative shall be liable for and shall pay for all field damages for labor or other expenses incurred in the removal and/or repair of the product or any expense incurred by the owner in order to repair the product.

SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS AND YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHERS.
